What is Fab Lab Acadamy?
Imaginlab Fab lab academy is an intensive program that teaches students to conceptualize, design, and prototype projects using digital fabrication tools and machines. This multidisciplinary, hands-on learning experience encourages a learn-by-doing approach, inspiring students to create locally and become active contributors to sustainable cities and communities.At Imaginlab Fab lab academy, you’ll gain the skills to envision, prototype, and document your ideas through extensive hands-on work with digital fabrication tools. We transform various code formats into tangible objects.
Introduce local youth to variety of Manufacturing Equipment
With us, you have access to a wide range of devices and machines. During the Lab opening hours, you will first learn to use the respective device under supervision. As soon as you can handle it well enough, you will receive a written briefing and are then allowed to work on it independently, even during the Self Lab hours. The only exceptions to this are the CNC milling machine and CNC lathe, which may only be used during special opening hours and under supervision.
In addition, the general work shop rules must be observed for all work in the FabLab.
We will help you with any questions that arise and show you how to get the desired result but we won’t do your work for you – we don’t usually do contract manufacturing.
